SSC (Govt of India) Under the Ministry of Defence Commission will hold a Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Junior Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices), Hindi Pradhyapak Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute and Senior/Junior Translators under Ministry of Defence. Candidates interested to apply for these vacancies should submit their application form before the last date 18th April. Name of the Posts:
1. Junior Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices) (Group 'B' Non-Technical) in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments / Offices

Education Required:
Masters Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English/ Hindi with Hindi/ English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level or Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with Hindi and English as main subjects and Those candidates who have passed B.A(Hons) in English/Hindi with Hindi/English as subsidiary/(Modern Indian Language MIL) subject are eligible for apply this posts.

Salary And Grade Pay:
Selected candidate will go through the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.

2. Senior Translator (Group 'B' Non-Gazetted) in Ministry of Defence

Education Required:
Master’s degree of a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at the degree level and Recognized Diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Govt. Offices, including Govt. of India undertakings.

Salary and Grade Pay:
Selected candidate will go under the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- per month.

3. Junior Translator (Group 'B' Non-Gazetted) in Ministry of Defence

Education Required:
Master’s degree of a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at the degree level and Recognized Diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Govt. Offices, including Govt. of India undertakings.

Salary and Grade Pay:
Selected candidate will go under the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.

4. Hindi Pradhyapak (Group 'B' Non-Gazetted) in Central Hindi Training Institute (D/o Official Language) located all over India

Education Required:
Master’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional or as a language paper from a recognized university or equivalent and Bachelor’s degree in Education from a recognized university/Institute & equivalent having Two years experience of Teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary Level.

Desirable:
Knowledge at the level of matriculation of one of the language, other than Hindi mentioned in the 8th schedule of the constitution and Experience of translation from English to Hindi and vice versa or diploma in linguistics from a recognized university/Institute or equivalent.

Salary and Grade Pay:
Selected candidate will go under the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/- per month.

Age Details:
Applicant age should not be exceeding 30 years as on 01-01-2014. Age relaxation for reserved catogeries should be applicable as per the govt rules.

Application Fee:
Application fee of Rs.100/- pay through "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)". CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. For Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PH and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the application fee.

Selection Procedure:
Selection of the applicant will be depends on Written Examination (400 Marks), Personality Test (Interview) (100 Marks) the exam will be held on 8th June 2014. Only those who secure the minimum qualifying marks in paper-I or part thereof and paper-II of the written examination will be shortlisted for the Interview.

Center of Examination:
Candidates submitting paper application must indicate the centre of examination opted by him, in the Application Form in respect of the Examination. A candidate must submit his/her application only to the concerned Regional/Sub Regional Office of the Commission under whose jurisdiction the Centre selected by him / her falls.
