SET 2013, RPSC SET
The Rajasthan public service commission RPSC has announced most awaited SET 2013 Exam Notification. Candidates who are looking for Lectureship as a career in Various colleges of Rajasthan can apply online for the SET Exam. There are 29 different subjects candidates can apply. SET subject and code list are available in detailed notification can be download from the website. The SET Exam will be conducted in all major cities of Rajasthan i.e. divisional headquarters. Along with government colleges and university there are also great demand of SET qualified candidates in private colleges and universities also.
Lecturer ship is to known as a decent career option in today's competitive era. Most of the posts of lecturer and professors are vacant in colleges so there are great possibility of a huge vacancy for lecturer and assistant professor posts are to be opened in 2014. So the candidates are have to clear NET or SET exam to be opt for assistant professor jobs in Rajasthan. Because of the tighten rules of UGC in future without NET/SET no candidate will appointed as lecturer in colleges whether it is govt or private.
Eligibility Criteria:
I. Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree OR equivalent examination from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science and Application, Earth Science, Population Studies, Education etc. are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Physically Handicapped (PH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master's degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.
II. Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master's degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master's degree examination
or
equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH category candidates). Such candidates must
complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of SET result with required percentage of marks failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
III. The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
IV. Candidates are required to appear in subject of their post-graduation only. In case the subject of a candidate is not included in the list of SET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC NET/UGC-CSIR NET, which is held twice a year.
